Ready, Set, Art Nuggets!

hello, and welcome to Art Nuggets!
(the inaugural post! you’re in on the ground floor! or if you’re parachuting in later, that’s cool, too!)

every week, i’ll be sharing some fun and/or meaningful jokes and/or poems and/or other idea/thoughts, that i’ve decided it will be easier to simply call “art nuggets.” so, here we are! ready? (now you’ve had plenty of extra time, but still, go at your own pace.)


1) here is a fun thought i shared in the past day:

i think it would be pretty fun if we found out the Mandalorian's real name was Dan Malorian.

2) here is fun idea/image i shared in the past week (a cartoon co-created by a wonderful creative friend, Katie Barbaro, who has a new book called “Fed Up” out soon!)

3) here is a fun joke-thought i shared in the past month:

the itsy-bitsy spider is sisyphus for kids.
(bonus fun: sing it to the tune of the song, and feel free to come up with the rest of the lyrics if you like)

4) here are some fresh, brand NEW fun thoughts i just had about subtitles:

— what if the subtitle is the title, and the title is really a SUPERTITLE?
— if “sub” means “below,” then isn’t ALL of this technically sub-title?
— if the title needs a day off, i feel that any of these could stand in as a substitute title. now if only there were a fun way to abbreviate “substitute title.”

5) and finally (for now!), a fun joke i first tweeted 5 years ago TODAY.
