Thought you had heard all the Margaret Atwood-related comedy content you would hear from me this week? Well, think again!
Enjoy this BONUS Margaret Atwood-related comedy content!
Dear friends,
I’m grateful that you’re here.
Thank you for choosing to be here!
And now, SOMETHING NEW FOR YOU TO ENJOY!
Earlier this week I shared some thoughts that I had about a joke by my friend Josh Gondelman about Margaret Atwood.
Today, I offer some bonus joke Margaret Atwood content!
I love Josh’s joke.
And I ALSO have a joke about Margaret Atwood that I tell on stage sometimes though it's not necessarily totally done yet, so under ordinary circumstances I wouldn't share a not-totally-done out-loud joke in written form here, but because it's on topic, I figured why not!
And also, I thought it might be fun for readers to receive a peek behind the curtain (I almost wrote a PEAK behind the curtain... like what's in front of the curtain is just the tip of the ice berg, and behind the curtain is a MOUNTAIN of cool stuff!). It's definitely fun for ME to share this peek/peak with you (look at all the Peak Fun we're having already), so I hope your interest is... piqued!
My Margaret Atwood joke began 10 years ago when I saw this news story:
"Margaret Atwood becomes 1st author to add secret story to Future Library"
The key line: "1,000 new trees were planted last year to provide the paper on which the written works will be printed."
