i did some free-writing this morning and here is part of the windy² path it took:

1) woke up late because i stayed up late. ³
2) “up” means “awake” so “down” must mean “asleep.”⁴
3) “get down, get down,” from the song “jungle boogie” does NOT mean “go to sleep, go to sleep,” i think.⁵
