Grandma used to say, can’t complain—no one will listen. Or maybe I said it. I say it now and she can’t complain cause she died almost 5 years ago.

As someone who got stuck in an elevator for an hour during the 2011 Virginia earthquake, I, too am pro-Mitch Hedberg.

In the past I've replied to Myq's emails but I'll publicly reply (because I like Substack better than social media) and I love Myq and his comedy and am willing to let the world know it so I'll Re: All the world of everyone on the internet, not just to Myq.

I funny thing I learned (again) is that doing something badly is often funnier than doing it well, which is a paradox for me because I'm a comedian so I want to do *well* at comedy. You see the pickle I'm in? I have to be bad at comedy to be good at it.

Maybe an example will help.

I did a show where I was stripping but my shoes got caught when I tried to remove my leggings and I felt frustrated because I wanted to do this bit well. I chatted with the audience after and mentioned I should have removed my shoes before the leggings but they disagreed:

They LIKED that my shoes got caught.

As I'm a clown, I like when the audience likes me.

I guess the next time I strip I'll wrestle the leggings over my shoes again because the audience has spoken: bad is good. (in this context at least)

Doing ok! It’s been a rough week. But the good news is, that week is now over. Good, fun read, Myq. Until next time!

1) I’m good! Traveling during school break, visiting family for cousin time. Heart age is 3 years younger than actual age per Oura, which is a little concerned because I had thought it was 4.5.

2) Yeah! I’ll send a photo.

3) People mostly do it for social media photos now right? Not a fan when it disrupts people who have nothing to do with the putative cause. Seems very good when it’s a way for communities to find each other in the real world though.

4) No.

5) A little bloated.

I am glad I found your Stack. Substack suggested it actually, but I am glad I followed up. I am in favor of finding things--well, in favor of finding good things--and I think you are, too. A person might even say that you are profound; and I would not disagree.
