Mom's the word!

it's my mom's birthday, so here are some mom-related funs for us to all share!

happy birthday! ²
it’s my mom’s birthday today ³ and i am delighted to share it with you all.
thank you for being here! now, for some mom-related funs of the day.

A) the early mom catches the word: ⁴

on a particular night in the past, my mom asked if i had any shows.
i told her i had two.
she asked if it was an early and a late show.
i said yes, the 8pm was the early and the 10pm was the late show.
and she said (which i find delightful), "to me, that sounds like two LATE shows."

B) momception:

"when can we get together and have lunch"
-- my mom while at lunch with me sometimes (i love her all times) ⁵

C) being in the MOMent:

MY MOM: "the best day of my life is today, because it is the only day there is"
ME: "what about the day i was born"
MY MOM: "that's second" ⁶

and those are the mom-funs for the day! this day! the best only day there is!

1. in a buddhist paradigm, my understanding is that we have all been reborn into infinite incarnations since beginningless time, which means that statistically, we have all been every relation to every other being, which is to say that you have all been my mom and i have been all of your moms. so, in that paradigm, there is no one who has not been my mother, but just in case you operate in a different paradigm, i include you here as well.

2. PS when is YOUR birthday? do you like it? if you respond and tell me when your birthday is, i’ll do my best to send you a birthday wish on it.

3. bonus fun!
my mom’s name is bonnie.
a dear friend of mine coined the nickname “the bonster” for her.
last year for her birthday, she had a party and i called it “the bonster bash.”
and that is the bonus fun.

4. i call this particular play on words “worm-play”!

5. can’t spell “sometimes” without “mom”!
”sometimes” = “‘tis mom, see?”

6. this may have been a slight imagination/exaggeration.
