preposterous! outlandish! weird! (POW!)

that's what today's jokes are all about. thanks for being here! love to all.

dear friends, friendlies, friendliers, and friendliests,

i have returned home from three weeks of shows on the road!
thank you to all who attended¹ and/or read about them!
more to come! i’m glad you’re here.

for now, here are some sillies of the day!

1) something weird:

"pre-" means before.
"post-" means after.
so something being PRE-POST-erous
is preposterous.²

2) something preposterous:

a new show
from the creators of
”outlander”
and
”black-ish”
…
it’s “outland-ish!”³

3) something outlandish:

this is true.

in 8th grade, i had a teacher named ann d'ippolito.
in 3rd grade, i had a teacher named d'ann ippolito.⁴

i don't know if there's anything to DO about it, but i guess my question is, anyone else out there have two teachers whose names are spoonerisms of one another?

4. they looked very different. they taught in different towns. i presume they never met, but now i’m wondering if they were the same person who implemented great measures to change their appearance but then skimped on the new name?
