preposterous! outlandish! weird! (POW!)
that's what today's jokes are all about. thanks for being here! love to all.
dear friends, friendlies, friendliers, and friendliests,
i have returned home from three weeks of shows on the road!
thank you to all who attended1 and/or read about them!
more to come! i’m glad you’re here.
for now, here are some sillies of the day!
1) something weird:
"pre-" means before.
"post-" means after.
so something being PRE-POST-erous
is preposterous.2
2) something preposterous:
a new show
from the creators of
”outlander”
and
”black-ish”
…
it’s “outland-ish!”3
3) something outlandish:
this is true.
in 8th grade, i had a teacher named ann d'ippolito.
in 3rd grade, i had a teacher named d'ann ippolito.4
i don't know if there's anything to DO about it, but i guess my question is, anyone else out there have two teachers whose names are spoonerisms of one another?
and those are the weird, preposterous, and outlandish things i have to offer you today!
coming soon, more live and live-streamed shows! including…
this coming tuesday, august 10, 7pm at Caveat in New York City AND ALSO STREAMING ONLINE SO YOU CAN SEE IT FROM WHEREVER YOU ARE.5
thank you for being here, there, and everywherever6 you are.
finally, please enjoy this artwork that my wonderful artist friend McKinley Cox designed for this upcoming tuesday’s show, based on a photo by my wonderful photographer friend Mindy Tucker.
thank you for being a tender attender.
sometimes i feel like the pre-poster child for preposterousness.
if you have the power to make this show, please use it wisely.
they looked very different. they taught in different towns. i presume they never met, but now i’m wondering if they were the same person who implemented great measures to change their appearance but then skimped on the new name?
you stream, i stream, we all stream for my show!
everywherever is very wherevery.
I never realized how toned your biceps appear-clearly jokesmithing is hard physical labor!
